Addressing Race in Sport with Dr. Ornella Nzindukiyimana and Rhonda C George

“Colourblindness doesn’t work. You need to see people in order to actually help them.”

We are joined by Dr. Ornella Nzindukiyimana, Associate Professor of Human Kinetics at St. Francis Xavier University, and Rhonda C George, a researcher at York University working on Black women’s experiences in sport. We explore the history of race in sport in Canada, how it affects our present day life, how we can work to disrupt the system, and how to empower the underrepresented voices in our community.

If you are looking to create change within your own sport community, share this episode as a conversation starter.
