Keeping Things Rolling: Building Inclusive Sport in New Brunswick with Simon Richard, Paralympian

“I wanted to make sure the younger generations had the same opportunities as me”

Inclusive sport in New Brunswick is booming. Simon Richard; Paralympian, Sport Builder, and Program Coordinator with ParaSport NB, has worked to reestablish the inclusive sport of Goalball in New Brunswick, giving the next generation of athletes the opportunity to participate and excel in the sport that brought him to the Paralympics. In his spare time, he is also starting a blind hockey program in Moncton, and supporting P506, a wheelchair basketball program.

If you’re looking to get involved or give back to your community through inclusive sport, please contact Simon at simon.richard@parasportnb.ca for more information on program details and volunteer opportunities.
